Appeal for help after Police impersonation incident in Urmston

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for the public’s help after an incident that occurred on Sunday 10th March 2024 at around 10.30pm, where an unknown male impersonating a police officer approached a female.

The impersonator was driving a black car with five doors, however the police have limited details about the incident.

The male is described as having a slim build with short dark brown hair, and was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit top.

It’s a criminal offence to impersonate a police officer and can result in a prison sentence of up to 6 months.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, have any information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
